Bring teammates into Iron Gorilla with appropriate access for their responsibilities.

## Use roles to match responsibility

Give each person the job they need, not the broadest role available. Administrators manage workspace settings. Governance owners review [policies](/articles/create-a-policy-from-plain-language) and [approvals](/articles/review-pending-approvals). Operators work the queue and [reports](/articles/build-an-ad-hoc-report).

> Tip: Start with a smaller role. You can raise access later after the person has accepted the invite and the team understands what they need to do.

_Users shows who has access, which role they hold, and whether their account is ready to use._

## Inviting a teammate

Invite teammates from Settings, then Users. Add the person’s work email and name, choose the role that matches their day-to-day responsibility, and send the invite.

After the invite goes out, the person still needs to complete sign-in, email verification, and MFA if your workspace requires it. Come back to Users afterward and confirm their status changed from Invited to Active.

> Watch out: Do not share one administrator account across a team. Individual accounts keep approvals, exports, and audit evidence tied to the right person.

## After the invite is accepted

Once the person accepts, confirm they can see the correct workspace and the page they need for their role, such as [approvals](/articles/review-pending-approvals), [reports](/articles/build-an-ad-hoc-report), [connectors](/articles/add-a-connector-or-mcp-server), or agents.

If something is missing, adjust the role instead of creating a second account. Revisit access after the first week and remove privileges that are not being used.
